Are you drawn to magnificent mountains and fjords and outdoor life in the absolute top of Norway? Reinheimen Lodge in the mountain village of Skjåk is looking for a versatile and service-minded activity manager in the high season from 20 June to 20 August 2023.

In the summer of 2023, Reinheimen Lodge offers the rental of outdoor equipment and electric bicycles, a hot tub and water sports activities, as well as guided game safaris for moose and deer. Now we are looking for you to give guests memorable summer adventures.

Vacant position: Activity leader mountain and water sports

Reinheimen Lodge is a newly established tourism company that offers accommodation in historic double rooms, Arctic Dome glamping tents and newly built solid wood cabins. Lodge has rerestaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with local produce to guests and passers-by.

The lodge also has a sauna, hot tub, swimming raft and rental of electric bicycles, canoes and mountain equipment. Our closest tourism neighbors are Billingen Seterpensjonat, Dønfoss Camping, Grotli Høyfjellshotell and Sota Sæter. Within an hour's drive you will find Geiranger and the mountain metropolis of Lom, Hjelle and Gamle Strynefjellsvegen. In the high season, four people are employed at Reinheimen Lodge. The summer job as an activity leader is wide-ranging. The activities manager at Reinheimen Lodge is responsible for the rental and light maintenance of rowing boats and canoes, electric bikes and mountain equipment, hot tub and sauna, bonfires and game safaris with guests to see moose, deer and roe deer. On quiet days also other practical work at the lodge.

• Rowing boats and canoes are rented out at our activity area on a headland in Lake Heggebottvatnet just below the lodge. There is also a boathouse with life jackets and oars. On calm days, you may soon be asked to set a net in Lake Heggebottvatnet to browse the menu with local ingredients.

• Electric bicycles are rented out to guests and passers-by from our equipment depot just below Reinheimen Lodge. In connection with electric bicycle hire, we expect that there will be a number of requests for the transport of bicycles and guests.

• The hot tub is wood-fired and very popular. The stamp stands at the water's edge a few steps from the bathing jetty in Heggebottvatnet.

• The sauna was newly built this year and is located in the basement of Reinheimen Lodge. There are also showers and facilities for cleaning and simple maintenance of motorcycles, of which we have many visitors.

• Game safaris for moose and deer are offered daily in the summer season - with a near guarantee of seeing the King of the Forest or deer in the immediate area. Game safaris can be carried out both by car and by electric bike from Reinheimen Lodge.

You are active and versatile, and ready to give that little extra so that the guests at Reinheimen Lodge will have memorable experiences. Practical sense and an eye for work that should be done is a prerequisite for performing and enjoying the job. You should speak good English, be independent and responsible. At the lodge, you have a great influence on your own working day. You work well and efficiently on your own, but appreciate contributing to the teamwork at the lodge together with, among other things, the head chef, waiter and receptionist.

Driving license class B is a prerequisite, and you must be able to handle a tractor and trailer.

​

The workplace is Reinheimen Lodge.If desired, we can help arrange housing in connection with the lodge or in the municipal center Bismo. It is a big advantage if you have your own car to get around in your spare time.

​

Salary and other conditions will be agreed upon.You largely set up the working day yourself, as long as the necessary tasks are carried out. At the same time, no two working days are the same, and you must expect to turn around quickly to solve unexpected orders and situations.
